We launched twitassist.me this evening as our entry for the 2009 Rails Rumble. Check back soon for a more complete writeup of the twitassist.me!
Twitassist.me is the easy way to raise money, donate and track fundraising campaigns using Twitter.
Inspired by a friend who tweeted, “If each of my 500 followers gave me $0.50, then I could buy a new iPhone.” Genius we thought. Or at least creative? Someone should facilitate that and we thought we’d give it a try.
Plus, TwitPay.me’s FAQ says it’s a billion dollar industry (orsomethinglikethat).

Nice job Luke! I’m glad you guys finished in time. Congratulations again.
“I think a spectacular make-up date is a great idea. Why don’t you use http://r09 to help raise that money :)”
If only I could fit that title within the character limit! That was my first attempt at a campaign. Instead, I just generalized the whole thing: http://twitassist.me/3
Looks like you got some good feedback from tasaro. Good luck with the rest of the judges. Pray that you don’t get Pie or Geechee_girl.
